After practicing last week and Wednesday of this week, Christian McCaffrey did not practice Thursday and Friday and has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

During his Friday press conference head coach Matt Rhule said McCaffrey didn’t have a set-back in his recovery, but that his hamstring isn’t where it needs to be for him to play. Rhule added that they hope to have him back for the Panthers’ week-seven match up against the Giants.

In other injury news, linebackers Shaq Thompson (foot) and Kamal Martin (concussion) are also listed as out for Sunday. Offensive lineman Deonte Brown (knee) and cornerback CJ Henderson (shoulder) are questionable. Cam Irving, who was not available for last week’s game against the Eagles, will likely start.
