Christian McCaffrey, who has been nursing a hamstring injury sustained during the Panthers’ week-three win over the Texans, practiced Wednesday for the first time since that game. Afterward, head coach Matt Rhule said that while Christian looked good, there’s no guarantee that he will play Sunday against the Eagles.
“Christian was limited today. I don’t know what that means in terms of where he’ll be on Sunday. It will probably be something that goes up until game-time. We’ll make the best decision for him and the team as we move forward. I won’t have much beyond that with regard to Christian, but he did have a good day today.”
“I feel great,” McCaffrey said after Thursday’s practice. “Getting better every day.”
When asked if the thinks there’s a possibility that he’ll be ready to play Sunday against the Eagles, Christian didn’t hesitate.
Yeah, definitely. Definitely. We’ll take it to Sunday and see where I go from there, but I feel really good. Really Good.
In his first three games, McCaffrey has rushed for a combined 201 yards and has 163 receiving yards.
