Carolina Panthers Panthers’ Injury Report: Christian McCaffrey Sidelined at Least a Few Weeks; Jayce Horn Out Indefinitely (Video) On a conference call with reporters, Matt Rhule updated us on the injuries a few key players sustained during the Panthers’ Thursday night win against the Houston Texans. Christian McCaffrey, who suffered a hamstring strain, is expected to be sidelined at least several weeks. Rhule added that the team has not ruled out placing the all-pro back on injured reserved and McCaffrey will decide his best course of action. Jaycee Horn broke three bones in his foot. The Panthers’ 2021 1st round draft pick is discussing with his family his best course of action. Tough times never last, tough people do. I hate I can’t be out there having fun but I know the guys gonna hold it down. Thank you all who wish me well. I will be back stronger! I can’t wait to be back doing what I love! Let’s keep the ball rollin! #KeepPounding #TheChosen1 pic.twitter.com/sBPG0I5q36— Jaycee Horn (@jayceehorn_10) September 24, 2021 Safety Juston Burris pulled his groin and is undergoing further testing. This is a tough break for a Carolina team that has looked promising during their first 3-0 start since the 2015 Super Bowl season. Injuries are a part of the game and the “next man up” mentality is one the Panthers are very familiar with. Tough breaks, but the season is far from over. September 24, 2021
