On a conference call with reporters, Matt Rhule updated us on the injuries a few key players sustained during the Panthers’ Thursday night win against the Houston Texans.
Christian McCaffrey, who suffered a hamstring strain, is expected to be sidelined at least several weeks. Rhule added that the team has not ruled out placing the all-pro back on injured reserved and McCaffrey will decide his best course of action.
Jaycee Horn broke three bones in his foot. The Panthers’ 2021 1st round draft pick is discussing with his family his best course of action.
Safety Juston Burris pulled his groin and is undergoing further testing.
This is a tough break for a Carolina team that has looked promising during their first 3-0 start since the 2015 Super Bowl season.
