The Hough Huskies (4-0) host the Chambers Cougars (5-0) Sept. 24 as part of the Carolina Panthers Big Friday High School Football Series. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. Advanced tickets can be purchased online via www.varsitytix.com or on game day at the stadium box office. General admission seating is $7. Stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m.Public parking is $5 and available in the CPCC and stadium parking decks.
The stage is set for this highly-anticipated conference matchup as both teams enter the contest undefeated. Two-time defending state champion Chambers is ranked No. 1 in North Carolina by MaxPreps with Hough following closely at No. 2. Hough is the last team to beat Chambers having defeated the Cougars in the regular season this past spring. Hough enters the game following a convincing 53-14 victory over North Mecklenburg while Chambers posted a 64-6 defeat over West Mecklenburg.
Carolina Panthers Charities will provide a $2,500 grant in recognition of the Student Section of the Game. The grant will support student-driven projects for the winning school.
