Panthers Sign Cornerback AJ Bouye

The Panthers have addressed another need on the defensive side of the ball.

Wednesday, Carolina agreed to terms with cornerback AJ Bouye. Bouye signed with the Texans as an undrafted rookie in 2013. He spent three seasons in Texas before signing a signed a five-year, $67.5 million deal with the Jaguars in 2017.

Jacksonville traded Bouye to the Broncos last March, who released him for cap reasons in February.

Bouye has started 69 games in his career, and has 14 career interceptions. He won’t be eligible for the first two games of the season as he finishes up a suspension for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing substances last year.
