UNC to host Marquette on February 24

CHAPEL HILL – The University of North Carolina men’s basketball team will host Marquette at the Dean E. Smith Center on Wednesday, February 24.

The game will tip at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The Tar Heels scheduled the out-of-conference game after their game at Boston College on Tuesday, February 23, was postponed with no makeup date scheduled. That was UNC’s fourth ACC game postponed due to Covid-19 safety protocols (Jan. 12 vs. Clemson, Feb. 8 vs. Miami, Feb. 16 vs. Virginia Tech and Boston College). None of the four have currently been re-scheduled.

The Golden Eagles, 10-12 overall and 6-10 in the Big East Conference, defeated Butler, 73-57, on February 17, but didn’t have another game scheduled until they play at Connecticut on the 27th.

Carolina (13-7, 7-5 ACC) hosts Louisville this evening at 6 p.m. The Tar Heels are scheduled to return to ACC play a week from today at home against Florida State.
