Report: Panthers Release Tre Boston

Carolina’s offseason moves continue. According to Adam Schefter, the Panthers have informed safety Tre Boston he will be released.

Boston began his career in Carolina, before spending a year with the Chargers and Rams. He returned in 2019 and has started every game for the Panthers since. In 2020 Boston signed a 3-year, $18 million dollar contract.

Jeremy Fowler has also reported the Panthers are releasing veterans Stephen Weatherly (defensive end) and Mike Palardy (punter).

The moves will save the Panthers $11.5 million in cap space.
