NFL insider Adam Schefter first reported the Panthers are releasing two-time, Pro-Bowl DT Kawann Short today.
Short, who was in the final year of his 5-year $80M contract and due $12M in base salary, played in fives games combined in 2019 and 2020 after struggling with injuries. The move clears up roughly $8.6M in cap space for Carolina.
