Panthers defensive end Brian Burns, who is nursing an unspecified knee injury, “more than likely” won’t play Sunday against Washington. Head coach Matt Rhule, who won’t go into detail about what Burns’ MRI on showed, did note that it is “nothing surgical.”

Rhule says he “feels bad” for Burns, who has had a breakout season – amassing eight sacks, 56 tackles, three forced fumbles and 20 quarterback hits.

In other injury news, Troy Pride (groin) is likely out and Christian McCaffrey (quad) is doubtful. Offensive lineman Russell Okung also didn’t practice Wednesday.
