Head Coach Dave Doreen and the NC State Wolfpack football team announced the signing of 19 new players to the program Wednesday afternoon during national signing day. Of those 19, 11 chose to stay in the state of North Carolina. Nationally, the class ranks 32nd, which up from 43rd last year and 7th in the ACC.
Three four-star recruits highlight the class, including linebacker Jordan Poole of West Stanly and receiver Micah Crowell from East Forsyth. Also on offense, State landed highly touted quarterback Aaron McLaughlin from Georgia.
The class features eight top 50 players from North Carolina. “Every year we want to get the best we can within the state, we start within our borders” stated Doeren. NC State also received two transfer commitments from former Florida State Seminoles via Twitter Tuesday, but are not official so Doeren was unable to speak on them.
