If He’s 100% Healthy We’ll Play Him: Panthers Have No Plans on Resting McCaffery the Remainder of Season

Christian McCaffrey has missed ten games this season battling various injuries. With just three games remaining and the team out of playoff contention, many think the Panthers should rest their all-pro running back the remainder of the season. After Wednesday’s practice, Matt Rhule said he’s had no discussions with Marty Hurney or David Tepper about sitting McCaffrey and if he is 100% healthy he will play.

Christian, who is nursing a quad injury sustained during the bye week, has not practiced and Rhule says he doesn’t expect he will be available when the team travels to take on the Packers Saturday.
