Gordon Hayward was the Hornets’ big off-season free-agent signee. Now it’s unclear if he’ll be available when Charlotte starts their regular season December 23rd.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Hayward has suffered an avulsion fracture of his fifth finger on his right hand.
Hayward will miss Thursday’s preseason game at Orlando on Dec. 17 and will be listed as day-to-day moving forward.
