Pack Announces 2020-21 Men’s Basketball Schedule

RALEIGH, N.C. –  The NC State men’s basketball team announced its 2020-21 schedule on Tuesday morning.

The Pack will play 20 Atlantic Coast Conference games and seven non-conference contests for a total of 27 games in the 2020-21 season.

NC State opens the season by hosting the Mako Medical Wolfpack Invitational on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and Friday, Nov. 27. The four-team event will be held at Reynolds Coliseum and the Pack will be joined by Charleston Southern, Eastern Kentucky and North Florida.

The Pack will also host William & Mary (Nov. 30), Florida Atlantic (Dec. 12) and Campbell (Dec. 19) in non-conference action and play at Michigan on Dec. 9 in the 2020 ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

NC State still has one non-conference game to be announced at a later date.

The Pack will play its first ACC game on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Louisville.

NC State’s ACC home opener is six days later when it hosts North Carolina on Tuesday, Dec. 22. The game against the Tar Heels will be the first time the two programs have faced off before January since they opened the 1979-80 season against each other in Greensboro as part of the Big Four Tournament.

After a break for Christmas, the Pack jumps back into ACC play by hosting Boston College on either Tuesday, Dec. 29 or Wednesday, Dec. 30.

A majority of midweek conference games are still being sorted out with the league’s television partners and will be listed as Tuesday or Wednesday on the schedule.

In January, NC State will play eight games with five being played on the road. The Pack faces trips to Clemson (Jan. 5 or 6), Florida State (Jan. 12 or 13), Virginia (Jan. 19 or 20), North Carolina (Jan. 23) and Syracuse (Jan. 31) in the month while it will host Miami (Jan. 9), Georgia Tech (Jan. 16) and Wake Forest (Jan. 26 or 27).

In February, NC State will host Virginia (Feb. 2 or 3), Syracuse (Feb. 9 or 10), Duke (Feb. 13) and Pitt (Feb. 28) and will venture to Boston College (Feb. 6), Pitt (Feb. 16 or 17) and Wake Forest (Feb. 20).

The Pack closes its road schedule with a trip to Notre Dame on March 2 or 3 and will wrap up the regular season with a Senior Day visit from Virginia Tech on either March 5 or 6.

The 2020 New York Life ACC Tournament will be played in Washington D.C. at Capital One Arena from March 9 to 13.
