The Panthers announced Monday that they released wide receiver Seth Roberts and practice squad cornerback Josh Hawkins.
Roberts played in all of the Panthers games this season, totaling four receptions for 31 yards.
Hawkins, a four-year vet out of East Carolina, was seen in a video posted on social media over the weekend in a crowded restaurant with no mask and no social distancing. When asked if Hawkins was released because of the video, Panthers head coach Matt Rhule wouldn’t comment specifically – saying the decision was made in the best interest of the team.
The Panthers are preparing for a Thursday night matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
