CHAPEL HILL – Carolina football has added Western Carolina to its 2020 schedule, announced Monday by head coach Mack Brown. The two in-state rivals will play on Friday, Dec. 11 in Chapel Hill.
The game fills a hole in the schedule after the Sept. 19 game with Charlotte was canceled due to the impact of COVID-19 contact tracing after serval members of the 49ers were placed in quarantine leading up to the game.
No. 12 UNC returns to the playing field with an ACC road game at Boston College this Saturday in Chestnut Hill, Mass., for a 3:30 p.m. national broadcast on ABC.
