Teddy Bridgewater and Erika Cardona have released the second book in The Little Bear Teddy Series entitled “Big Change”.
“Big Change” tells the story of Little Bear Teddy’s perfect plan to practice his football skills on the lawn after school, but a big storm ruins the neighborhood and causes him to move to a new City.
The Little Bear Teddy series are books all children can relate to. Little Bear Teddy’s main goal is to focus on core values that can translate into everyday life. His four core values include: Hard work, Determination, Resiliency and Perseverance.
Cardona began the series in 2016, after Bridgewater’s career was nearly ended after suffering a torn ACL and other structural damage – including a dislocation of the knee joint. Erika wrote the first book in the series, “Big Dream Come True”, while supporting Teddy in the hospital and during rehabilitation.
“Watching Teddy during his entire recovery process, not once did he ever complain,” Cardona told media during a Zoom conference announcing the upcoming release. “Not once did he question God and ask “why me?” Seeing how determined he was to make it back, how resilient he was as he went from one team to the next and how he’s persevered through everything has been my motivation when writing both books.”
“It’s a great feeling. You talk about giving someone their flowers while they can still smell them – that’s what Erika is doing,” Bridgewater said during the conference. “It’s just great I can be a huge inspiration to her.”
