Tar Heels Make AP Preseason Top 25

For the first time since 2016, the Tar Heel football team will enter the college football season ranked in the top-25. The Associated Press released their preseason poll Monday; UNC is ranked 18th.

The Tar Heels finished with a 7-6 record last year, but return many of their playmakers on a squad that lost by an average of only 4.3 points per game – including a near upset against top-ranked Clemson.

UNC is scheduled to open their season against Syracuse on September, 12th. Here’s the Preseason AP Top 25 poll in its entirety.
