Cam Newton sustained a foot injury during the preseason and has not played since week two in an effort to make sure he’s 100% healthy before returning to the field. Tuesday morning, Newton posted a video of himself on the treadmill, no boot, with a caption that said “Oh dear friend…How much I’ve missed you!!”
This is a good sign that he’s progressing. Monday, Coach Rivera said that Cam is continuing his rehab process and until the doctors and trainers tell him something else that will be the status quo.
The Panthers will travel to the West Coast to take on the San Francisco 49ers Sunday.
