Ever wondered the power of social media? Well, it helped one Panthers fan live out his dream of becoming a water boy for the team.
15 year old Christopher Borden saw a picture on Instagram of Cam Newton, DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel and expressed interest in being involved with the team somehow. A friend suggested being the water boy.
Borden liked the idea and took to Twitter and asked the Panthers account how many retweets it would take to make his dream a reality.
The Panthers replied, “10K”.
Chris immediately solicited Twitter’s help and in less than 24 hours he’d reached his goal.

The rest was up to the Panthers, who made good on their promise during Wednesday’s training camp finale.

Borden, who served as a hydration specialist for Curtis Samuel and Torrey Smith, described this as the best day of this life so far.
