Thomas Davis has been a fan favorite in Carolina for a long time and many were heartbroken when the team announced they wouldn’t re-sign the linebacker. But that loyalty and favoritism may quickly fade if the 15-year vet signs with the Panthers’ division foe Atlanta Falcons – something Davis says would be a “great opportunity.”

There’s no loyalty in sports…at least the business side of it. So if Davis, who’s been very vocal about wanting to stay in Carolina, gets an opportunity to continue his career in Atlanta it’s something Carolina fans will have no choice but to respect.
