CJ Anderson came to Carolina as an insurance policy, but didn’t get much burn during Christian McCaffrey’s breakout season and was eventually cut in week 10. After leaving the Panthers, the former 1000 yard back was signed and cut by the Raiders before finding a home with the Rams ahead of the 2019 NFL playoffs.
In Saturday’s NFC Divisional round playoff game against the Cowboys, Anderson rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. It was an incredible outing and Panthers fans weren’t happy. Here’s how they reacted:
“CJ Anderson??? …have I introduced you guys to Cameron Artis Payne!? Just wait on it 😏” pic.twitter.com/zNqnaFVb70

What a smart move to not use and then cut CJ Anderson. This coaching staff makes being associated with this team tougher than it should be.

Pretty neat idea to use 2 RBs. Wish the Panthers had someone like CJ Anderson.

CJ Anderson tonight is the exact player I watch and be like….man it would be huge to add a player like that to our current #Panthers team.

Remember when panthers had CJ Anderson ??? They rather ran CMC in the ground.

So tell me why the Panthers thought CJ Anderson was disposable because I didn’t understand it when they made the move and I still don’t understand it now
