Ryan Finley is widely considered one of the best quarterbacks in college football and so far his numbers back that up. The Wolfpack leader is averaging 328 yards per game and completing 69% of his passes. He’s thrown for 8 touchdowns and only one interception. There’s not a college coach in America or even player who wouldn’t be pleased with that, but not Finley.
I asked him after the Wolfpack’s 35-21 win over Virginia how he would assess himself so far this season and he told me that he’s yet to put his best play on tape.
