After allegations of sexual harassment and racism, many are trying to distance themselves from Carolina Panthers founder and former owner Jerry Richardson. But it’s proving hard to move away from his tarnished name since he’s made hefty contributions to many universities in the Carolinas.
Today, UNC Charlotte decided they will not rename their football stadium.

$10 million is a lot of money and we don’t know what contractual naming rights came with the donation. Either way, Charlotte trustees decided keeping Richardson’s name would be easier than dealing with any moral questions that will come because of it.
