After originally being diagnosed with a fractured thumb and listed out for 6-8 weeks, Charlotte Hornets’ 2nd year guard Malik Monk’s status has been upgraded to day-to-day after further images revealed his thumb is not broken.

Monk was impressive in the Hornets’ win over Oklahoma City last Friday scoring 23 points on 9-of-16 shooting, two assists and two steals in the contest.

This is good news for Hornets fans.
