The NFL offseason is only two days old and big news is already coming out of Carolina Country.
The Panthers have placed interim GM Mary Hurney on paid leave after harassment allegations were made by his ex-wife last week.

According to Jeanne Hurney, Marty was very controlling and abusive.
In her complaint, she said Marty Hurney was “extremely controlling and was verbally and emotionally abusive” during the marriage. She said in the complaint that her phone, laptop and security system have been hacked and that she changed her locks three times in three days last summer. “My privacy has been violated for the past seven years with Martin’s behaviors of tracking me, my pets and violating my property,” the complaint reads.
Jeanne Hurney alleged in her complaint that her ex-husband or his associates had recently broken into her home and classroom. At her home, she said, the intruders had placed sticky notes in a book of hers around such words as “victim,” “terrorize” and “may resort to violence.”
Jeanne Hurney has since dropped her complaint, but sources say the league still plans on investigating. Mr Hurney’s attorney has called the claim “complete fiction.”
This will certainly throw a wrench in the Panthers search for a permanent GM. Many believed Hurney, who served at Carolina’s GM from 2002 2012 before being fired, was a shoe-in for the position. Now with these allegations, paired with those made against Jerry Richardson, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Panthers go in another direction.
