More Jerry Richardson Racial and Sexual Misconduct Allegations Emerge

Jerry Richardson announced his plans to sell the Carolina Panthers at the end of the season after Sports Illustrated released details of a sordid history of workplace misconduct including sexual harassment and the use of a racial slur toward an employee.

Note: I would be remissed if I didn’t mention that while speculation loomed Friday regarding what Richardson was being investigated for, Carolina Blitz was the first to report that allegations might be race-related.

As things continue to unfold, more stories of questionable behavior by the 81 year old billionaire are sure to emerge.  One source, who played in the NFL and continues to have close ties to the league, told Carolina Blitz exclusively:

“Jerry has been a known racist throughout the league.  He’s been given passes on several occasions because of his age.  Racial slurs are in his normal vocabulary.  A few former cheerleaders who cheered for the Panthers would tell me stories of how he would measure only the black girls skirts, used the word colored a lot, etc…”

The irony here is that Richardson, one of the most respected owners in the league, always seemed to place emphasis on the character of the players on his team. It’s too bad he didn’t have the same expectation of himself.
