The Gamecocks will be dancing this month for the first time since 2004 and a big reason for their success this season is the play of Sindarius Thornwell. Today the senior guard’s play was honored when he was named SEC Player of the Year. South Carolina head coach Frank Martin broke the news to Thornwell and reaction of him and his teammates was priceless.
Sindarius, a Lancaster native, averaged 21.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
