While there’s a ton of great basketball on the court, the ACC Tournament has so many interesting things that go on that are off the court. Here are my top 3 from the first day.
1.Not all mascots are created equal. HBCU’s have some of the best of them, but at Day 1 of the ACC Tournament, Clemson’s mascot showed off some nice moves.
2. The Boston College Band did one of the most creative things I’ve seen a pep band do to date. While Wake Forest players were shooting free throws, one of their members loudly read a children’s book. It worked a few times too.
3. The camera men and women who provide such great sports images rarely get the recognition they deserve. It ain’t easy…or safe on that baseline. Bet you didn’t know all of this went into getting those pictures. All about timing.
