NC State announced last week this would be head basketball coach Mark Gottfried’s final season and although it was no surprise given the Wolfpack’s disappointing year, many (including myself) thought the school would wait until the end of the season to make an announcement.
After defeating Georgia, Kentucky head coach John Calipari discussed Gottfried’s mid-season dismissal and gave fellow coaches a bit of advice in the process.

It’s highly unlikely that NC State will run the table at the ACC Tournament a make the NCAA Tournament, but it’s not impossible. Calipari brings up a good question. What happens if the Wolfpack revive their season? What if Gottfried leads a miraculous turnaround?
