The Legends Football League (formerly the Lingerie Football League), a women’s 7-on-7 tackle football league featuring athletes dressed in scantily clad uniforms, took the United States by storm in 2009. Since then, franchises have somewhat struggled to stay afloat, but the league is determined to solidify itself and the announcement of several expansion teams may give the LFL the boost they need.
Last week it was announced that the Denver Dream would return in 2017 and yesterday Ciara McMillan, a former player and someone with sources close to the organization, exclusively told Carolina Blitz that Charlotte would be the other expansion recipient.

The LFL hasn’t made an official announcement, but it should be imminent. No word yet on the team name and where they will play, but we’ll bring you the information as soon as we find out.
