Coach K Hopes Harry Giles will Make Duke Debut Before Christmas (Video)

There’s a saying that the rich get richer.  While not always true, that’s certainly the case for Coach K and his Duke Blue Devils. After starting the season dealing with the injury bug (Krzyzewski only played 6 guys in their win against Michigan State last week), the Blue Devils squad that was voted college hoops best team in the preseason is finally starting to take shape.  Jayson Tatum, who hasn’t played since early in the season, had his coming out party in last night’s win against Florida with 22pts and 8reb in 29 minutes of play. And Coach K says he hopes Harry Giles will make his college hoops debut before Christmas according to the Duke Chronicle.

“Harry’s practicing—he hasn’t had as much contact yet.  We’re hoping before Christmas—those two games. I’d like to see what he does during the exam period with a little more contact and then we’ll go forward with that.”

Giles, who was ranked the best overall recruit in the class of 2016, hasn’t played basketball since he injured his knee his senior year of high school during his team’s first scrimmage and with him looking like this during warmups last night, Duke is going to be a problem.
