UNC faced their toughest and loudest crowd of the season when they fell to the 13th ranked Hoosiers in Bloomington. After the game, Tar Heel head coach Roy Williams told reporters that’s the type of environment he’d like to have at the Smith Center and his sentiments were shared by former Tar Heel and current NBA Clipper Brice Johnson.

Maybe y'all will rearrange the seating now? Move the students from in the upper deck to closer to the court! https://t.co/kS5iQi27g4

This isn’t the first time Carolina’s “wine and cheese” crowd has been criticized, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. Brice’s suggestion is a good one. Part of the rabid environment many of these schools bring to games is based on a raucous student section, if they’re in the upper level and the seats closest to the court are filled with older booster, what do you expect?
