North Carolina Man Travels to Indiana to Share Cubs World Series Win with Deceased Father (Video)

It’s stories like these that make me feel so happy for loyal fanbases like the Cubs’.

North Carolina resident Wayne Williams travelled all the way to Indiana to watch the Cubs win the world series with his dad and honor a promise they made to each other when he was a child.

“I talked it out with my boys forever. I let them know that I told my dad – we had a pact. When the Cubs – not if, when – the Cubs got into the World Series, we would make sure we listen to the games together,” Williams said.

It took a day for Williams to travel to Indiana to listen to the game at his father’s graveside, but being able to fly the “W” flag as World Series Champions was well worth the trip.
