The Tar Heel football team has suspended Allen Artis indefinitely after fellow student Delaney Robinson accused the linebacker of rape. The junior also had to turn himself into police after Robinson requested self-sworn warrants for misdemeanor assault on a female and misdemeanor sexual battery.
Artis, who investigators decided not to charge after the original allegations were made in February, was released on a $5,000 bond. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
