San Francisco 49er’s quarterback Colin Kaepernick started a media and national fire storm when he boldly told the world that he would not stand for the national anthem before games, saying he would not honor a song or flag “that oppresses black people and people of color.”
His protest has drawn thousands of hot takes from the media, fans and fellow NFL players – with some saying he is wrong and others acknowledging his right to voice his opinion.
Carolina Panthers’ quarterback and current MVP Cam Newton was recently asked his view on Kaepernick’s decision not to stand for the national anthem and this was his response:
Newton’s politically correct, “we’re all the same on the inside”, comment did not resonate well with some fans who took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.
cam let us all down we were all on his side

Cam Newton lost the Super Bowl, stopped dabbing, and became All Lives Matter in less than a year. he's clearly been brainwashed

Think about how much better the All-Lives Matter All-Stars just got with recent acquisition of reigning NFL MVP Cam Newton. Quite an upgrade

The NFL really is full of cowards.

With the backlash Kaepernick has received, expect many players to stay as far away from this as possible. Cowardly or not, these guys aren’t trying to mess up their checks.
