After ending the 2015 NFL season with the best regular season record and a Super Bowl appearance, notable NFL free agents are now eyeing Carolina as a potential destination.
In his recent Monday Morning Quarterback article, Peter King wrote that safety Eric Weddle spoke highly of the Panthers as a good fit for him.
Although Weddle admires the Patriots, he also spoke longingly of Oakland, Pittsburgh and Carolina, all of which he was sure would be a good landing spot.
Weddle isn’t the only one eyeing Carolina. Cornerback Antonio Cromartie responded to a fan’s tweet about playing with the Panthers by saying that he’d “love” to play on their defense.
@MettaWorld_Mack I like @Panthers. I would love playing on that defense.

Winning makes everything in Carolina look more attractive and with a young nucleus, more players who want an opportunity to play in the Super Bowl will see the Panthers as an ideal location.
