The Blue Devils were clinging to the hope that they’d get their senior leader Amile Jefferson back after breaking his foot in December, but those hopes were shattered after doctors determined his foot had not healed enough to return this season.

Although the Blue Devils have and will miss Jefferson’s leadership and defensive presence on the floor, they do plan on seeking a medical hardship waiver which would made him eligible to play next year.
