If you thought the Panthers/Giants 2015 story ended when the clock hit double zero, you were sorely wrong.  Since then, players have gone on tirades, tweeted displeasure, and have been accused of threats.

The league announced Monday that Odell Beckham Jr. will be suspended for New York’s upcoming game against the Vikings for this hit against Norman.

But Beckham will not go down without a fight.  He accused Panthers players of threatening him and calling him homophobic slurs before the game – alleging that is what triggered his anger and subsequent roughhousing on the field.  Video has surfaced of Panthers’ practice squad member Marcus Ball going back and forth with OBJ before the game while holding some type of object in his hand.

Is this enough to justify Beckham Jr’s actions on the field?  Not to me. It looks like typical trash talk. This is just a clip, but I don’t see Ball pointing the bat at OBJ in a threatening way, nor do I see Norman anywhere in the picture.  Jr. just needs to eat the suspension and learn from his actions. His hit on Norman is against everything the league says they stand for in terms of safety. The NFL HAD to make a statement.
