Four people have been arrested after rappelling down Bank of American stadium in protest during Monday Night’s game.

The activists, who unfurled a banner that said “BoA: Dump Dominion”, were protesting Bank of America’s financial involvement in a liquefied natural gas plant in Maryland.  According to the group who organized the protests website, We Are Cove Point, David Baghdadi, Erica Madrid, John Nicholson and Angela Vogel were the 4 people arrested.

“Bank of America is allowing companies like Dominion (Resources) to operate without checks and balances,” Nicholson said in a news release from We Are Cove Point. “They are giving money directly to Dominion with full knowledge of the health and safety risks of building an LNG export facility, and they need to be accountable to that.”

The fire department had to be called in to remove the protesters from the stadium after they refused to come down.

The Panthers are investigating the incident.
