In unfortunate news, it was announced that former Carolina Panthers and current Baltimore Ravens receiver Steve Smith suffered a season-ending Achilles injury during Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
After the new was released, Smith tweeted this.

The picture in this tweet says a lot. Ever since Smith was unceremoniously cut from the Panthers, he’s been on one big “F You Carolina” campaign and justifiably so. After his contribution to the team and the city, Smith deserved more. I think that message rings loud and clear in this picture. Steve considered the Panthers organization family and they showed him no loyalty. Eventually, the Panthers will have to make things right.
The question now is if the 36 year old veteran will return next season. If I had to guess based on this tweet, I’d say no, but you’d hate to see Smith end such a great career like this.
