Carolina’s defensive, which has already been reeling from the absence of linebacker Luke Kuechly, has taken another hit with the announcement that defensive end Charles Johnson will sidelined at least a week with a hamstring injury.

This is the same hamstring that bothered Johnson last season and kept him out of most of training camp. He will be reevaluated after the team’s bye which comes after next week’s game against Tampa Bay.
