Chris Houston Announces Retirement; Panthers Make Roster Changes

For the second time in less than a week, a newly acquired veteran has decided to retire.  This time it’s cornerback Chris Houston.

Houston, the Falcons’ 2nd round draft pick in 2007,  was signed by the Panthers in June after missing the entire 2014 season with a toe injury.  No formal explanation for his decision was given.

With this sudden change, as well as the injury to Star Lotulelei, the Panthers have made a few roster changes.

Heath saw limited action in 2 games last season for the Dolphins and Horsley spent last year playing in the Canadian Football League.
