Panthers Make Roster Changes Ahead of Training Camp

at M&T Bank Stadium on September 28, 2014 in Baltimore, Maryland.

The sudden retirement of 25 year old  Jonathan Martin threw a wrench in Carolina’s anticipated training camp roster.  With a now even more glaring need at the tackle position, the Panthers’ cut running back Darrin Reaves and signed two offensive linemen.

Reaves played in six games last season for Carolina – rushing for 78 yards on 31 attempts.  He also caught 5 passes for 31 yards.

Hills and Wallace are relatively unknown linemen.  Hills played in 3 games for the Cowboys last season and Wallace, who was with the Dolphins in 2014, has yet to play a regular season snap.

These two are a far cry from Jake Long, whose name has been thrown around as an option to bolster Carolina’s seemingly weak offensive line.

A lot of pressure will be on Michael Oher to revamp his career after a few sub-par seasons.  Can he do it?  Only time will tell.  I for one, am not banking on it.
