It seems like this is the year that old tweets are coming back to haunt players who have now been drafted to teams they once talked trash about on social media – See new Laker Larry Nance Jr’s Kobe rapist tweet below.
But Larry isn’t the only one eating his words. In a blog post announcing his return to Wisconsin for his senior year, Charlotte Hornets first round pick Frank Kaminsky said some pretty unsavory things about the then Charlotte Bobcats and its fans.
“I know the NBA has their crazy fans and all, but if you look at all of their games, there are games when teams like the Bobcats get hardly any fans, and it looks flat out boring,” Kaminsky wrote on his blog. “At the Kohl Center, we play in front of nearly 17,000 fans every single time we step onto the court. When we travel, we play in front of sell-out crowds who absolutely hate us. Not because of who is on the team, but because of where we go to school. Who could leave that?”
Although it isn’t totally inaccurate, this it not the best thing for fans to see coming from one of the newest faces of the franchise, but Frank The Tank can make well on all of that with his play on the court.
