Charlotte to Host 2017 NBA All-Star Game

After months of speculation, it’s finally official.  The Charlotte Hornets will host the 2017 NBA All-Star game.

The winning of the bid comes along with an agreement to make $40 million in improvements to the Time Warner Cable arena.

Commissioner Adam Silver is expected to make a formal announcement Tuesday.

The structure of Charlotte makes it a great place to hold an event like this and you can expect Michael Jordan to want to put on a show for All-Star Weekend as an owner.  Next year’s game will be held in Toronto.
