Current NFL Man of the Year and Carolina Panthers’ linebacker Thomas Davis will likely end his career in Carolina after signing a 2-year $18 million extension. After successfully recovering from 3 ACL tears, the 32-year-old’s story of perseverance and determination is one that often doesn’t get the attention it deserves. He and Luke Kuechly have combined to become one of the league’s most talented linebacker corps.
The extension includes a $9 million signing bonus as part of his $10.25 million compensation for 2015 – which is fully guaranteed. He will make $3.5 million in 2016 and $4.25 million in 2017.
Last season Davis registered 100 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
