This Friday, Cam Newton will host his 2nd Annual Celebrity Kickball Game. The event is part of his Kids Rock! Weekend, where he gathers celebrities and fellow NFL stars together in order to raise money for charity.
“Everyone does a golf tournament,” says Newton. “But I’m not the best golf player. I wanted something that could be fun, that anyone could do, and that would stand out. It was either that or bowling.”
Some of the guests scheduled to attend are Bo Jackson and Gavin DeGraw. Last year the weekend raised more than $225,000.
Friday’s celebrity kickball game will be held at BB&T Ballpark where a limited number of $5 tickets will go on sale to the public at 3pm.
