These should be popular with the golfing sneaker heads.
Since retiring from basketball, Michael Jordan’s favorite pastime has been golfing. So, it would only be fitting that the Hoops/Sneaker G.O.A.T. would come out with a golf shoe for the public, right?
According to Sports Illustrated’s Tim Newcomb, that’s exactly what he’s going to do.
Jordan Brand used the silhouette of the Jordan Flight Runner 2 and worked with Nike Golf to add in Nike Free-inspired design in the development of the golf offering.
The resulting Jordan Flight Runner Golf shoe features mesh and synthetic materials with Nike Flywire on the upper. The midsole contains a “forefoot moderation plate that stabilizes the foot when twisting,” according to press materials. Using Free-inspired design on the outsole with TRI-LOK soft spikes rounds out the construction.
They aren’t the most attractive I’ve seen, but then again what golf shoe is? The Jordan Flight Runner 2 is set to release this month in grey and black.
