When Lance Stephenson signed with the Hornets in the off-season, many fans were excited about the team forming their own version of “The Big 3” featuring Al Jefferson, Kemba Walker and Stephenson, but what we got was player that didn’t seem like he was “Born Ready” to play in Charlotte and a coach and system that didn’t seem to mesh well with the animated guard. But despite the ups and mainly downs that have come this season for Lance, he says he doesn’t regret making the decision to sign with the Hornets.
“I love this system. I love my coaches. I love my teammates. Some people come into systems and fit right in. Some people it takes time. I feel like with me I’m going to take time.”
That sounds good, but after being benched against a crucial game against the Celtics there looked to be a lot of regret on Lance’s face.
Who know how this story will end, but right now, as expected, all side are playing nice. I suspect we’ll get the truth if “Born Ready” finds himself on another team during the off-season.
