Arizona State announced the firing of Head Coach Herb Sendek today and it didn’t take long for them to reach out to a potential suitor.
According to Scout.com, the Sun Devils have already contacted Duke Assistant Coach Jeff Capel about the vacancy.

Before returning to Duke in 2011, Capel was the head coach at VCU and Oklahoma.
As the associate head coach and the most senior member of Coach K’s staff, many think that Capel is sharpening his skills in hopes of being the heir to the Duke Basketball throne. Â If that’s the case, I don’t see him accepting this position.
